Over the last ten years, a number of projects have been carried out to improve the facilities within the church building and make it more user friendly.
It started with the removal of the pews at the Westend which provided a much needed space for social gatherings with a servery, which is in constant use.
The Vestry had a complete make over with a new wardrobe, sink- and cupboard units.
The Eastend of the North aisle is now an area for worship and music, after the removal of some unused pews.
The Base of the Tower has been refurbished and provides a new choir wardrobe and tidy storage units. It also houses the recently installed Toilet facility.
The Latest project started with the purchase of some premises adjoining the Church grounds. Drainage and Water supplies had to be installed. It has now been repaired and decorated. The Sunday School is currently meeting there and are pleased to move from their previous Venue, beeing the Pub across the road.
An Extention for kitchen and toilet facilities is currently in the pipeline. It will be some time before this will be approved.
Most of the above improvement work has been carried out by a band of volunteers giving freely of their time and talents. Over the years people have come and gone. New volunteers are always welcome.

The Parochial Church Council has been concerned for some time about the condition of the louvers on the western and eastern faces of the church tower. Some of these have decayed to such an extent that they have dropped out over the years, as can be seen from ground level. Closer inspection reveals that the remaining louvers are also crumbling and becoming loose in their housings – with consequential risk of them also dropping and causing considerable damage to the church property and danger to human life.
The PCC are seeking permission from the Diocesan authorities to have the louvers replaced, and have investigated costs of repair and replacement. Once permission has been granted work will begin on the eastern face of the tower.
Fortunately sufficient funds are in place for the work on this face of the tower to be put in hand. The louvers on the west face will be repaired when further funding is available.
